Musical Background
Dana and her husband Hank discovered the mountain dulcimer in the late 1990's after hearing a local dulcimer club, the Hills of Kentucky Dulcimers, performing at the Cincinnati Appalachian Festival. They kindly invited them to attend one of their club meetings and from that moment Dana was hooked. She purchased her first dulcimer a few weeks later and she and her husband soon realized the magic of the dulcimer combined with his guitar. They went on to perform and teach together under the name of Sweet Funk until Hank's passing in 2024.
